Abstract

When you use a software keyword that is searched on a website, there are a lot of sites that provide the software, it takes a long time to get the files needed because they are looking for files manually and there are no categories or groupings of software needed. In correcting the writer using the Zhu-Takaoka Algorithm, Zhu-Takaoka is a modified algorithm of the Boyer-Moore algorithm. The Zhu-Takaoka algorithm uses a two-dimensional array to calculate and execute functions from left to left which allows you to make mistakes, find applications that can be done quickly and easily with the stack of programs or applications in the repository. The expected design of this Linux repository application can run well in all devices that have a browser, and this designed application also allows you to search for debian (.deb) Linux programs using the name of the software you are looking for.

Abstract

A broadcasting technician is a person in charge of preparing, running, and maintaining electronic equipment used to broadcast television shows, controlling audio equipment to adjust the volume level and sound quality during radio and television broadcasts, running the transmitter to broadcast television shows. To get a reliable broadcasting technician cannot be separated from the recruitment of these technicians to television stations. The broadcasting technician recruitment system carried out at Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) Medan is through a selection stage based on the required criteria using the interview process and the availability of the selection participant files. The weakness that is often experienced by users of the recruitment system is that it is difficult for the leadership to give the final decision regarding the selection participants who deserve to be accepted in an efficient time. To assist the leadership of Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) Medan in the decision-making process in selecting a broadcasting technician, a computer-based application is needed in the form of a decision support system that can provide supporting output for the decision-making. A decision support system is a system that has the ability to solve problems with structured and unstructured problem conditions that have a role in helping problem solving and no one knows how decisions should be made. Decision support systems can be used in assisting the decision making of a selection assessment. Decision support systems aim to provide predictions, provide information and direct information users to be able to make decisions more effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

The size of the text file is relatively large, where the more information contained in the file, the larger the size of the text file needed to store the information, so that it has an impact on the file size that must be stored on the storage media. The memory size required to store a file is directly proportional to the size of the text file. The problem that occurs is the limited storage space available, especially for Android applications. If the text file size is larger than the storage space or the maximum size limit for a file, sending the text file will fail or the information contained in the text file will not be conveyed properly. This research studies text file compression techniques using arithmetic coding, and implements it for compression and decompression cases. Things to be studied include: looking at the effect of character variations in a text on the compression ratio, the resulting compression time and the decompression time. The experimental results show that the highest compression ratio is obtained when a text has only one type of character. The effect of character variations on the compression ratio is that the more character variations a text has, the lower the compression ratio.

Abstract

Determining the best ranking of districts in the Province of North Sumatra is done by determining the existing criteria, so the North Sumatra provincial government will easily determine which districts will be ranked as the best districts. selection is done by looking at the data that is in the North Sumatra provincial government and how the district has performed for the previous year. The problem faced by the selection team is how to determine the best districts from a number of alternatives that have advantages and disadvantages of each district so that they are not well targeted in providing the best assessment to be analyzed. This system is a Decision Support System (SPK) which was built using the WASPAS method and designed using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 and using a Microsoft Access database. Data processing will be carried out by the Selection Team from North Sumatra provincial government by entering data or criteria for the district. then the system will perform calculations according to the WASPAS principle which will eventually produce a ranking of the best districts in the province of North Sumatra.
